The virtual event will take place on Tuesday, 5 May 2026, bringing together distinguished scholars, policy analysts, international law experts, and economists for a high-level discussion on one of the most consequential geopolitical crises of our time.

As tensions involving the United States, Israel, and Iran continue to unfold, the Middle East crisis presents complex challenges that extend beyond regional security. The webinar will explore the broader implications for global energy markets, international legal norms, state sovereignty, and the evolving structure of the global order—especially as they relate to Africa and the wider Global South.
